Scammers increasingly borrow the names of real companies and real recruiters. A familiar logo isn't enough — verify the person.
- Find the job on the company's own careers page, reached by typing its address yourself
- Check the recruiter's email domain matches the company's real domain exactly
- Call the company's main number (from its website, not the message) and ask for the recruiter
- Look for a real work history on their profile — new accounts with few connections are a warning
- Never share ID or bank details until you have a written offer you've verified
