These terms are between you and JobShield ("JobShield", "we", "us"), the operator of the "Is This Job a Scam?" service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) to use the service. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

JobShield analyses job listings you paste in and produces guidance: suspicious wording, red flags, missing information, questions to ask the employer, an overall explanation, and a risk score. The analysis is generated by an AI model.

The output is guidance only. It may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not a guarantee that a listing is safe or fraudulent. You are responsible for your own decisions about any job listing, and for verifying information independently before sharing personal details, documents, or money with anyone.

You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• Use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive.
• Submit content you have no right to share, or content that infringes anyone's rights.
• Attempt to probe, disrupt, or bypass the service's security or technical limits.
• Scrape the service, send spam through it, or introduce malware.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service or its output at scale.
• Use the service to generate or distribute illegal content, hate speech, deepfakes, or malware.

You are responsible for the listings you submit, for how you use the analysis, and for keeping your account credentials confidential. Activity under your account is your responsibility.

JobShield owns the service and its intellectual property, including the software, design, documentation, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. You retain ownership of the text you submit; you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service to you.

The service offers a free check, one-time check packs, and unlimited subscriptions (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until then.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobShield is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When your access ends, your saved reports may be deleted after a reasonable period.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
